Sorry Blake, I may need to change the wording....if you go to www.nettlelake/tmp you should be able to download it from there. If you can't see it there, let me know. It was too big to streaming through this site

???Used to have a cottage on Nettle Lake back in the 60's and 70's Heard that the tornadeo took it out years ago. I learned how to waterski on Nettle Lake.
Is it still a good lake to ski on? Or is it primarily a fishing lake?
Anyone.....let me know, please!!!

Scott,
I would have to say that it is still a good lake to ski. In the summer the lake is full of skiers.

Thanks for the reply I am sure things have changed since we were there last. Looking forward to a visit this summer. Is the boat ramp still at the store? It was the only "public" ramp when we were still going there. Our cottage was the first piece of property next to the campground, that was next to the old store.

then you haven't been there since the state revamped the boat ramp? We have a very nice boat ramp now.

My grandparents had a cottage on Eureka Beach. It had a big rap around fenced in porch. It's been 25+ years since I've seen it. Can anyone take a picture and post it please.
I remember rowing over to the store to get candy to eat and woms to fish. I would help grandpa dock the boat too. I was sad to hear a tornado took out that store. One day, when I get back up to Ohio I'd love to go to the old stomping grounds.
All eleven of us grandkids learned to ski on that lake. ;D

Let me see what I can do. Is this the place that had the big rock out in front of it?

I think the best part of going over to the store was the Pin-ball machines and the old juke box playing old 3-Dog Night music. They used to have speakers that would be outside that you could hear from the beach at the store. The store was just a short walk for us, we were on the other side of the campground. The Paine family ran the store for years and lived in a mobile home near the road at the corner of the campground. Is the sandbar still at the northwest area of the lake?

I am a new user to this board. I am looking to buy or rent a place at Nettle Lake and wondered if anyone knew of a place and how to contact the individual selling or renting.
Is there a campground on Nettle Lake?

Kathy,
Welcome to the website and community. I'm not sure of places to rent on the lake, but there are several homes for sale in the area. The best place to start is to email the real estate agent that I have featured on the website at mlg7277@yahoo.com and she can tell you what all is available in the area. I do have two homes featured on the website also. Also, there are two campgrounds on the lake...one of them is featured on the site under the business directory, the other I can not locate the owner to, but hopefully will this spring... Let me know if I can do anything else for ya.
Bryan
